roland gp 16

A mate of mine got a GP16 dirt cheap at a pawn shop. Can't tell you much about it because I'm not a guitarist's arsehole.

What I can tell you is that it came with a stomp board with about 8 switches on it. Not a lot to go on, but it basically scrolls through banks and sounds as you would expect.

Seems to have a good sound but he doesn't use it a lot. He's mainly a raw rhythm player.

Any MIDI controller will do...

I have one myself, I bought mine used, but remember when they were new and selling for $1200! The best controller is the FC100 from roland, but I used it successfully with an ADA MC100.

great unit, lotsa BOSS type effects. Unfortunately, it hasn't been getting much use since I picked up a POD. Plus I have a bunch of plugins for my recording work.
