Rode NTK - Uses?

I'm probably going to buy a Rode NTK - mainly for vocals & possibly for an overhead mic...

what other application have people used this mic for w/ good results?

If you go to the Rode site on the web. They have a audio demo that list the equipment used on the demo and the NTK is listed on several instruments.
 
There are no rules, Delphonic.

I've tried mine for vocal, overheads, acoustic and bass cabinet. It sucked for bass cabinet IMO. The other three sources sounded great.

But it's a pretty colored mic, so I'd be careful and not use it on too many sources in the same song (as this would be much like using the same EQ setting for all those instruments). This advice of course goes for most mics.

The NTK is a great mic, but I would have to agree with Henrik. You wouldn't want to use it on too many things in the same song. It is the only mic I have right now, so I've used it on Vocals, Acoustic guitar, Electric guitar amp, and Piano. It has sounded great on everything so far, although I won't use it as a close mic on guitar cab for any longer than I have to, but it's great as a room mic.
