Well the RNC is hardware, the RCL a plugin. (unless they've decided to make a hardware version of the RCL like they did with the L1- if they do, exspect it to cost probably 10 times what the RNC does) So what are you looking for? an outboard compressor or a plugin? Analog compression or Digital? really the two are apples and oranges. Get an RNC and/or pick up the Waves bundle (which comes with the REQ, the L1 and other goodies... you'll be very happy with both.
