anybody using this set-up? I've spent most of the day and I cannot get the FF800 to show up... Hardware profile sees 'something' connected to the port (I had to use a Fw 400x800 cable as the MacPro only has FW800 ports, and although the FF800 has 2 FW800 ports, they're apparently for hooking multiple RME's together and the FW400 port is for connecting to the computer
here's what the Mac 'sees
Vendor 0xA35 Device 0x101800:
Manufacturer: 0xA35
Model: 0x101800
GUID: 0xA35004FB534C3
Maximum Speed: Up to 800 Mb/sec
Connection Speed: Up to 400 Mb/sec
Sub-units:
Unknown Unit:
Unit Software Version: 0x1
Unit Spec ID: 0xA35
I've switched ports with another device (external HD) and it works regardless of which port is plugged in
re-installed the software, repaired permissions, reset cables, unit powers up, shows the red host light and a pair of green LEDs +4 dB in/out
any ideas?
MacPro 8 core, 10 GB memory, Running DP and it works fine as in standalone mode and I had it connected to my old G5 PPC and it saw the old Digi 002R there
