If its crackling on specific beats, it sounds like its a peaking problem. Check to see if the files are peaking.
If they're not, or its not on specific beats (ie, generally crackling), checkout the thread entitled "is Ram all I need?" because it sounds to me like that could be software/hardware conflicts.
Do bear in mind I've never actually imported recycle beats into cubase before, I'm just using what knowledge I have as to what MAY be a problem.
