Reverb Unit

Can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive outboard reverb unit? I'm just looking for something to give my overall mixes (but especially bass and drum tracks) more life. I've never used any outboard effects gear before so I don't know much about it.

Hi,
I could suggest to you the Alesis Nanoverb.

It sounds very solid. got great reveiws and it's very easy to use ( it's all presets ).
It is also a budget reverb and quite worth the price.
The only downfall is the presets - altough
they sound great and it's what you would use anyway, You can't do much tweaking.

For a newbie it's perfect !.

about three monthes ago I was almost the same as you. I went into the effects database for looking the reviews of lots of effects processors. Then I posted in this BBS my needs. Finally I took the desision:
LEXICON MPX-100, for $200 new is the best of the world in the thing I wanted: Reverb
It has lots on different tipes and atmospheric ones. I have it and it is the best! Go that way!
