Replacing NS10M's - active or passive?

So I'm getting ready to ditch my NS10M's. I've been kept away from the studio for over a year, which means I'd have to learn them all over again; as long as I have to do that, I'd rather get something that doesn't fatigue me as much.

I'm using a Hafler P1600 amp to drive them. I can probably sell the NS10M's for around $400-450, or $500-550 if I toss in the amp.

My question is this: am I better off keeping the Hafler and replacing the NS10M's with passives (say, Event 20/20's or Tannoy Reveals), or selling the monitor/amp package and getting actives instead (say, Event TR8's or M-Audio BX8's)?
