Replacement suspension bands for CAD shock mounts?

I've got a few CAD condensers, and they've been very good mics. The only problem is that the elastic bands have loosened to the point where the inner clamp touches the spider so that the mics aren't isolated, and they pick up low frequency trash through the stands.

I contacted CAD service and support twice, and haven't heard diddly from them (stinko support IMHO).

Anyone got a source for replacement suspension bands?

Thanks!

You can buy Nylon Shock Cord by the spool in a bunch of spots on the Web. You will also nee crimps that you can get from a bunch of other sites online. Just do a search and choose the ones you like best. Once you do this you will never need to buy a full replacement again. Hope this helps.

Another idea passed on to me is to make a loop in the elastic band at each hook... that takes up the slack and tighens up the inner clamp. Maybe I'll try this idea first, as it costs nothing to try! :)
