Remixing - Where to find sources?

Hey guys,

I've taken a bit of a liking to remixing other peoples songs. It's fun changing a song around into a new style as well as improving my general mixing.

I have a hard time finding source audio files though. ie. Free songs to remix. Does anybody know where to find some? I'm not fussed on the style, but electronic/rock is easier to remix.

eg. Lacuna Coil remix comp, Salmonella Dub Remix comp.

I don't really want to go bugging artists for their multitracks.

Cheers!

For vocal tracks, look here: http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/index.php
For other tracks, there is no such site, afaIk.

Some bands like Nine Inch Nails and Chemical Brothers encourage fans to remix their songs and occasionally provide their multi tracks as free downloads.

Also some DVD 5.1 tracks are suitable for remixing.

And of course, there are a lot of maxi-singles featuring acapella and/or instrumental versions.

If you need scores for programming synth, drum machines etc. you probably will find MIDI files usable as a base.

Edit:
And of course, there is a CD called "tracked worx 2k", which is a bit old, but certainly a good base to practice your mixing and mastering skills. It's no mainstream, though, as it is a demoscene release. It's available here: http://www.maz-sound.com/

Also there are a lot of tracks available at http://www.madtracker.org/ and other mod sites.
