Reggae tune

Hi There,

Couple of thoughts as I was listening -

- Sounds like you have way too much bottom end which is muddying up your mix and making the vocal sound small. Have a play around some more with your EQ.

- I like the verse, sounds like a convincing little reggae piece.

- The guitar line that enters at 0:15 is a really good line for this style, but it is a little too reverbed and far back in the mix. Bob Marley's guitar usually was a lot more bright, more present and upfront if that is what you are looking for.

- To my ears, the chorus me doesn't do stylistic justice to the reggae credibility of the verse. You sort of shift into a pseudo-reggae style that is more reminiscent of UB40 than Bob Marley. I don't know if that is what you were going for, but I would prefer you to pass me that spliff man - not sing Swing Low Sweet Chariot.

- You sound like you may have used something to bring the overall levels of the track up after you dumped it to a stereo file. You might have pushed a bit too hard as I seem to hear some clipping and/or compression and limiting artifacts which aren't too pleasant.

All in all - good job - give it a fiddle and let us hear what you come up with!
