Hi and thank you for accepting me on this forum.

I have a quick question. I have always stored my tapes in the tape individual boxes and standing vertically on their side like records. However, this wastes alot of shelf space and I was wondering if I can stack them horizantally without damage?

Do not stack them horizontally. Apparently the oxide can gravitate towards one side of the tape over time. Vertically or horizontal takes up the same space? By the way this rule applies to cassette tapes, video tapes, dat tapes etc.
