Recording with Quad-capture - how to mute monitors

Hi,
A very trivial one.
I just got a QUAD-CAPTURE for studio recording.
For voice recording (condenser) I want the singer to hear the music only through his headphones and not through main monitors. Problem is, there is no way to mute only the monitors - there is only a one volume knob controlling both.
Is there a solution for that? (it is a very basic functionality for any recording, so I guess I don't understand something).
Thanks

Nothing to understand i! The interface does not have independent control of line and headphone output. That is an economy too far IMO.
Two kludges occur,
1) the Behringer HA400 headphone amp which will give 4 independently controlled 'stereo' outputs*
2) A small mixer from B's again or Mackie, Soundcraft et al.

*Note you will then need a TRS to two TS line sockets to feed monitors, assuming they are on jack leads.

Or of course, buy a better interface! I REALLY like my MOTU M4. M2 is 2x2 and cheaper but same quality.

Dave.
