Recording problem with EMU-0404

Ahhh... I have an AKG C1000s condensor mic.. but when I playback what I recorded, all I hear is a weird buzzing noise.. even when no mic at all is plugged in, it picks up the buzzing noise

I'm not sure if the card is broke, that cable, or I'm just not doing something right
 
ok i fixed the buzz with patchmix but i still get no input
 
Is the mic getting phantom power? I don't think the 0404 has phantom power, so how did you plug the mic into the card?
