Recording Mixer

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong category, I couldn't decide whether i should post this in Digital or Analog recording, haha

Recently I've been wanting to use more analog equipment in my setup (outboard gear, mixers, etc). I got a couple mic pre's, and now I want to get a mixer for my setup, because right now I have everything running directly into my firepod.

I'm on a relatively low budget (preferably nothing over $1000), I need a mixer with at least 16 mono channels and at least 8 direct outs. Also, it would be helpful if the mono channels had insert points. Also, IF POSSIBLE, I'd like one where I could assign phantom power to only a select amount of channels, because I will be using a ribbon mic and I don't want to damage the ribbon by applying phantom power to it's channel.

If anyone could help me find a mixer relatively close to what I'm describing that will sound good, please let me know!:D
