Recording electric guitar with Lexicon Alpha

Hi,

I've got a lexicon alpha soundcard. I want to record electric guitar, preferebly without a mic. I don't know if this card supports this?

This is the one:
Product: Alpha | Lexicon Pro

How would I go about that? the reason without a mic is, im visiting a friend who has basic guitar playing equipment (Guitar amp and guitars) but no recording stuff, so would I have to pack my mic too or can i record directly with this?

Well I was planning on recording this saturday, and going to a concert friday, and i would to bring the mic there then...it's a little hard to explain, it is possible but i would just like to know if the soundcard supports direct recording :)
 
You can record direct with that soundcard if the guitar amp has a line out. But it will sound like ass compared to using a mic.
 
Hehe, that's what I thought...I should probably rearrange my schedule and squeeze in a day to bring my mic and preamp to him :P Thanks :)
