while i have at times used a loose variation of recorderman technique for years, i happened to google it from reference on this board and ended up here. tried bashing the drummer with an acoustic guitar, but he didnt turn into a log cabin or a heart, nor did bubbles or tape reels come out of my bowl.

It's in your name--you should know this. It's the "toobs." Plug into a good tube pre and crank it, then when give him a warm, saturated bashing, everything should work out for you...
