I've not tried the Recorderman method before but I'd like to. Trouble is, I don't have a drum kit, and wont have time to muck about at the beginning of any upcoming session.
I like to have control over the whole kit at mixdown, and I want to know how possible this is with this method.
Right now I just throw up a pair of spaced cardioids to what looks right, and then make sure it sounds ok.
Does anyone have separate tracks from a session they've tracked (which they'd be willing to send to me) with:
Recorderman style overheads
Snare Mic
Kick Mic
...and tom mics would be awesome too!
I'm just looking for a minute or so to muck about with and see if I prefer it to what I do. If it were compressed to MP3 that'd be fine.
Cheers
