Recommendations for external sound card for MacBook Pro

Can't say it's better or worse than any other but I use a Presonus Firestudio Mobile with mine.
I chose it because it has 6 line inputs and I have outboard preamps but, even forgetting that, it's a good little unit with two decent preamps.
Very well built. Of course it's firewire so you'll probably need a little thunderbolt adapter.
What are your I/O needs and what exact macbook pro have you got?
