Reaper VS The MPK mini

Nah I'm sure it's not the MIDI. I tested all these things with my Yamaha electric piano as well. the USB port I will try tho. will keep ya posted. Thanks again for your help guys!
 
At this stage, it's very possible the USB port could be the issue. If you've got both 2.0 and 3.0 ports, you may be plugged into a blue 3.0 and switching to a black 2.0 port could remedy the situation.

Which software.. Reaper, or the controller's ?

I was thinking if you rebooted Reaper without first saving the track and it's settings as a Project, it may have reset some of the track's MIDI routing, putting you back a few steps.
