Hi,
When i set reaper for punch in/out, it works but when i hit the "STOP" button the tracks I was punching in/out change in appearance. {Please see the enclosed pic} The WAV formations become very thin lines. How do I stop this?

That's weird. It should be the opposite, thin while you're recording and then normal size when you stop.

It looks like you've done lots of takes. It also looks like the area that you have selected to do those takes encroaches on the original WAV. To avoid this happening, split the original take and create a blank space where you need to do the new take. The zoom in and select the area for the new takes, making sure there is no overlap with the original take.

To fix what you have already, select the take on which the original wav form exists, right click, and select "crop to active take".

Ctrl + L gets rid of lanes. You can also right click then select explode or something like that to send each take to its own track.
