Hi,
This is my first post in a while, i'll try not to make it too long-winded....
I'm having trouble with my protools system, more specifically i can't write good midi drum sequences on the goddam thing. Am I missing something or is the 'keyboard' type layout frustratingly difficult to write good beats with. I have sample tank2 and an emu planet earth and have been leeching off the built in loops for waay too long. Can anybody suggest a good method or alternative way of writing the beats. I can manage step sequencer's pretty good but is it a case of forkin' over the cash for an alternative piece of software to write the loops on (if so what's good?). My drum beats are purely backing tracks for singer/songwriter and ambient styles of music. Out of all my recordings the drums(or lack there of) really are the failing point. Any help would be greatly apprciated.
