Raxxess config-u-raxx desks/modular systems

I'm looking at upgrading my system and combining my regular desk and audio/video stuff. The Raxxess configurable systems look interesting (if expensive), but they look like they would do what I want to do. The steel part of the frame and the adjustability looks great. What about the flat surfaces? If anybody has seen, used, or owned one, do they look nice and durable, or are they more flimsy and cheesy looking? There's no place around to see one in person, and it's hard to tell from pictures online. All input welcome.
 
Don't know if it matters, but I ended up buying the omnidesk by omnirax, and it's working out great. It's really beautifully designed and well made, and puts everything exactly where I want it with lots of room to work. Highly recommended.
