RAM upgrade for old powerbook G4

I am using Reason to sequence stuff using an old 12 inch 867 640mb powerbook G4. It is fine for this as well as ableton live. (I use older versions of these programs) I am thinking of maxing out the ram to 1152 from what it is now. Do you think that will make a difference at all?

Ram always helps. Upgrading it is less effective with programs that depend on shear cpu processing power such as convolution reverbs and such.

thanks. Using the reverbs in Ableton live has become a problem....I am mostly worried about latency problems when recording direct...do you think more ram would help when recording into programs. Also playback of many tracks without using effects? Thank you
