WHATS UP GUYS, I JUST HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS. IM LOOKING AT BUYING A NEW COMPUTER STRICTLY FOR RECORDING MUSIC ON....PARTICULARLY ROCK BANDS. I AM GOING TO BUY A POWER MAC G4. WHAT IM WONDERING IS HOW MUCH RAM DO I NEED. ALSO HOW LARGE OF A HARD DRIVE SHOULD I GET? I WAS THINKING 1GB OF RAM AND A 120GB HARD DRIVE. SHOULD THAT HOLD ME OVER FOR A WHILE? ANY COMMENTS OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD REALLY HELP THANX.

That's plenty.
I don't know if this applies to Macs, but I know some PC people like to have a smaller OS drive and a large audio drive. :)

I guess a good amount of Ram would be 512. Hard drive for audio is good at around the 40-60 gig range.

What you are looking at will keep you satisfied for a long, long time!

I would get at least 512 mb, and a much smaller drive. Use an external firewire drive for dat to keep the app/os drive as lean as possible.
