Quick question for some reason i cant find answer.

I need to build an XLR to 1/4" unbalanced..... what gets connected to where? I know where the shield wire goes, but there are 2 "signal" wires on the XLR so which one do I connect to the signal on the 1/4" unblanaced? Or do i connect both?

You should check the pin out of the equipment you want to use that on. Most gear is pin #2 hot on an XLR but some (like my M-3500 console) is pin #3 hot.
