Quick: monitor stands question??

Also depends on the ceiling height of your room; you do NOT want your woofers centered between ceiling and floor, so probably the 36's if your ceilings are 8 feet - this would typically put the woofer center at around 41 inches, just far enough from 48" to keep away from nulls... Steve

So,My ceiling hgt is 7' 10" my woofer ctr is at 49".I'm pretty much sitting in a null? Can diffusion and absorbtion help? My stands are 42"and non adjustable.
Any help is much appreciated.
Peace,
Kevin

If your room is 7' 10", then the direct vertical center is 47". Right now your woofer center is 2 inches above that. If you put some mo-pads under the speakers that will give you about 2 more inches, putting your woofer center 4 inches above the vertical center.

The mopads would help, but I'd see if you can add another spacer so the EDGE of your woofs is at or above the center point. And no, diffusion/absorption can't help nulls - only moving something will help... Steve

Thanks 89 and Steve,
I had the mo pads under there already added the spacer.Am now at 50".Will
try to raise the stand. Thanks for your time!
Peace,
Kevin
