hi

im having a bad time recording electric guitars...but maybe im not??
is the guitar track supposed to sound amazing when solo'ed?? or maybe it will sound good when i put all the other instruments??
 
It depends. I think the question is, do you know what amazing is supposed to sound like? Then you know that, then you will know when it is amazing when solo'd and when its in the mix.

Everything should sound amazing when you are recording it. Especially guitar. Good guitar sound starts at the source and no amount of microphones, preamps or processing can help you if you start out with a bad tone.

not really...i tend to get a thin sound but im not sure if it will sound better with the drums and bass??
