question about power conditioner

Hey i'm interested in getting a power conditioner. I am curious though. Lets say I plug in the power conditioner, then I try to plug in an extension cord with say 5-10 sockets. And then I plug my gear into the extension cords, meaning not directly in the conditioner. Will I still get the benefits of the power conditioner(protection from spikes and noise reduction)?

Yes, but anything on that circuit will not be protected from anything else on that same circuit.

Yes, but be careful you're not overloading the conditioner. If you do, and a time of conditioning is needed, you may not get it.
