I got the blue screen a few times after installing the driver from M-Audio for my Quattro. So, I picked a restore date and now my PC seems better. However, I don't have the driver installed.
Has anyone figured out how to get the Quattro working great on an XP system? Thanks
While I don't use one anymore, I ran the Quattro on my XP Pro laptop for about 2 years with no problems what-so-ever.
If you're getting a blue screen after installing the driver, then it's having a conflict with another driver on your system. Make sure you've removed or disabled anything that is not recording related (network card, modem, etc.) as well as removing/disabling your system's stock sound card.
I was thinking recording would just be another function of the PC I use, but I see what you mean about dedicating a PC solely to recording music and stripping everything out of it that is unrelated to that primary function.
