punch ins

Hey, Does any notice that when you use the punch in option with cool edit pro that the change from the original recorded part and the new part is very noticable? Is this because of my bad sound card, the program, or is this just what happens when you use punch ins with digitial recording? thanks
Andrew

Yes, you must try to punch in at a quiet point or it will be hard to remove artifacts. Just as a side note, I found it hard to remove the punch in marks to make the track normal again. You must right click on the track and adjust boundaries

in a more mundane vein... make sure that you are recording with the same mic placement and amp settings and relative humidity and all that... so that the track it a match, tone wise.
