PT8 Destructive Record Question??????

I've tried every type of recording method: Quick, Punch, Normal, Loop...

but I can't seem to stop Pro Tools from recording over MIDI notes while in Loop Record. Please help!

you're looking for MIDI merge. It's probably in the MIDI menu somewhere...but there's also a button on the transport control for it.
