Processor Upgrade help

Hi..I have a Acer aspier 5735z laptop and was woundering if It was possible to upgrade my cpu..It has an Intel pentium dual-core T3200..It is only 2.0g..I want it faster..Thanks for your help!!!!

You should be able to put any other Socket P Intel processor in there. You will probably void your warranty, though.

There are a few things that could prevent you from upgrading:

The motherboard won't recognize it.
The original CPU is soldered into place.

cpu choice will be limited by your mobo(bus speeds etc)

im not up on laptops
but if you download a program called cpu-z

it will tell you the model of your mobo

then you will be able to find out if you can upgrade your cpu or not

PC wizard 2008 is also another great program that tells you anything you want to know about your PC.
