I've had this old uncommon mic in the closit for years - finally created a sound bite.

No eq, comp, or anything (and this was shortly after I rolled out of bed this morning - and with out any back-up, etc, so forgive)

I was so happy with the results, I didn't feel the need for changing much with it.

..guess at the model?

Well I'm on the road and having great fun and the hotel I'm staying at doesn't have speakers with it's computer .....So this is just a shot in the dark with no sound an EV hammer head.
Was I close?

Wow, you're pretty good to get that close by only studying the wave form!

Actually kind of a dumb post - esp since I realized the file name I hosteed ;)
(and until now had the file blocked - duh)

But I was pleasantly surprised with the sound, and thought I'd share...
Great for an 'effect' mic.

Actually, this should be a post about how it is wired = high impedance.
I'm wondering - the connector on the base has 2 prongs, plus metallic body. The cable that came with it has one of the pins tied to the shield at the other (1/4") end. Is this 'maybe' a low impedance mic, and I just need to make up a cable as such?

How does one know?
