I am looking to sell one of my 3 Firestudio 26x26's. In great condition with current firmware (as of two days ago). Has your normal racking marks. $415 shipped/insured to lower 48 states. Paypal or other arrangements. It's in the box with the manual. I have the out of date software that came with it around here somewhere if it is needed. Current software is available on the Presonus site.

Thanks for the comment....

I used one of my other two, along with a Digimax FS, last night to record a band at a local club.

I'd also trade this for a Presonus Digimax FS.

If I hadn't just ordered a ProFire 2626, I'd probably take it. That's even cheaper than what PreSonus will sell it to GC employees for, which, in my book, means that it's a very good deal.

If it means anything to anyone, PreSonus is backordered on these units right now. So buy Richard's.

Thanks for the comment. I remember when I was in the pro audio business I would spend too much on my employee sales. That's how I picked up the JBL 4430 monitors that I still have today. Of course, not much else that I picked up back then ('70's - '80's) is still here.

I still have the unit available. (the Presonus, not the 4430's which I will never part with). :)

I should mention that I am currently running my system with an AMD quad core processor Win 7 64 bit and all is working well.

This is my rig with one of my other Firestudio 2626's and Digimax FS hard at work in a local club:

It's a "couldn't have said it better myself" bump. ;)

This is maybe a weird question, but it looks like you're running Windows 7. If you open up your playback devices in the audio control panel and hit preferences, does the Firestudio show up as 24 bit for Windows audio? My MOTU piece would only ever show up as 16, but the ProFire shows up as one multichannel device and works at 24 instead of showing up as like 6 devices. And you said there are no physical or electronic issues with the unit, right? I may be interested, despite having just bought the ProFire...

It shows as three "devices", "Presonus Firestudio", "Presonus Firestudio Midi In" and "Presonus Firestudio Midi Out". I don't see where to check on the 16 or 24 bit status. You are correct that I am running Windows 7 and, surprisingly, all is well. It was an easy transition when I got the new computer.

No issues at all that I am aware of other than the normal rack mounting marks as can be seen in the pix. I used it last about a month ago and at that time updated the firmware. I just used another one of my three Firestudios last night (the rig in the picture above) to record a band live (a good time was had by all) and that one I am certain there are no problems. I used it with the Digimax FS to record 14 channels at one time. It's in similar condition, with the expected rack marks. I didn't use the SPDIF input last night, but I have used it several times in the past. I would have no problem in shipping that one instead. I'd just have to swap it in the rack with the other one and box it up.

Got one PM yesterday about 28 hours ago, but I haven't heard back from him since I responded. He's a "0" poster though.

If you right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and go to "Playback Devices," then select the Presonus and hit "Properties," then go to the "Advanced" tab, it should so there what bit rate Windows is running at. I imagine its 24 bit, and it doesn't really matter if it isn't, I'm just curious. Every stereo pair of the MOTU showed as a different playback device and none of them would run at 24 bit (wasn't even an option) except in a DAW--on top of that, Windows could never keep track of whether it was supposed to be at 44.1k or 48k, so if the MOTU wasn't the same as what Windows thought it should be, I'd have to go in and change every one of the devices... so annoying.
