XLR or TRS?

After a mic pre. Which one do you use to hook up the rest of your stuff? Can someone confirm XLR is better quality or is that not truE?

Balanced is balanced. An xlr gives you a more solid connection than a trs but the signal is the same.

phaqu is correct, balanced is balanced. Use whichever type of connector the gear requires. If you have a choice, either will work fine.
