Practice

I don't think this exists but it would be cool if it did and it was free.

Downloadable audio files of a bands tracking session to pull into Pro tools to practice mixing and experimenting with effects.

Pro Tools comes with a demo but it is recorded TOO well a 5 year old could mix it and it would sound good. I would like something more with a "real life situation" sound.

If it does exsist tell me where if not any ideas for practice? My limited supply of mics and good bands to record makes my mixing more of a "repair" job then a true mix.

Sounds like an excellent idea, but does it need to be Pro Tools? ;)

And why can't you just track the band yourself? :)

It would not have to be pro tools but thats what I use and like.

As I said in my first post I have a limited supply of mics ( 1 sm57 1 rode nt1000 and a few generic dynamic mics) And lack a good area to record. Last tracking session I did I spent a day comping GOOD takes to take out the sound of people walking into the dorm room we were recording in. I am a Recording Arts student and would like to practice mixing in as close to a studio situation as possible.
