powered subwoofer hookup

I have a 1202-VLZ Mackie mixer and was wonder where I can hook up a powered studio subwoofer to it. I currently have 2 powered studio monitors hooked into the main outs. I was thinking I could just hook the powered subwoofer into the control room outs. Unsure, please help
 
That'll just give you the full-range feed into the sub. I think what you want to do is send the main outs to the sub and then from the sub to the monitors. That's the way subs I am familiar with hook up.
