In 2002, when I got posted to Seoul, I did a quick little tune for the party we have
(see https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=54735&highlight=posting - the original isn't there anymore, though).
It was a one take wonder, written and recorded in an hour.
Since then, it's been a big hit, and I've done an acoustic version every year.
This year, now that I've built up some recording skills I thought I'd do an electric version.
FYI, There are up to 30 some people who get moved all over the world, and I fit them all into the lyrics.
Rhyming Afghanistan can be a bitch, though Lyrics are VERY "inside" but you get the drift.
Too late for any changes, though - deadline was today, so it had to be done.

Written, recorded on Saturday, June 16.
Tools:Godin LGX-SA guitar through a Roland VG-88, Ibanex EDA-900 bass, some drum loops I got from somewhere, and a Rode NTK mic. Audition 1.5/Delta 66
Let me know what you think, and what could be done better. Vocals are a bit loud - need a bit of intelligibility in a big crowd.
Cheers,
Mike
