I want to be able to have a separate computer to run Reason, that I can throw in a little bag and take to work and connect to a KVM there to work out stuff on lunch hour. I have lots o' spare parts, so I was thinking of a Shuttle system. Here's what I had in mind:
Shuttle SK43G: $199.99
Kingston 512MB: $81.00
Maxtor 40gig: already have it
AMD 1800+: Already have it
Lite-On DVD-ROM: $31.00
And now here's the big IF: I need an ASIO sound card, preferably with S/PDIF so I can run straight into my Mia on my main box.
My idea is the M Audio Revolution, for $100. I know I could get an OEM Audigy for $45, but I detest Creative products.
Does anyone have any experience with this card? Keep in mind, this will only be used for Reason, pretty much.
That would put me at $412 bucks, not too bad.
