polarity on power cables

i've noticed that i've been using an a/c converter (wall-wart) on one of my power outlets upside down......i was wondering if reversing the polarity of the power current had any effect on my equipment. i'm sure it can't be "good".

If it doesn't have one big prong to prevent it from plugging in upside down then, I don't think it matters but, I'm not an electronics tech either.

On the wall wart with non polerized plug, it don't matter. It's when you defeat a polerized plug or your house mains are wired incorrectly that you can have problems.
