Hi there, i want to buy a delay pedal but start thinking in Pod Xt witch have o lot more efects and could use it to direct recording.
The thing is i´m wondering if it´s good to use only the efects since i have a Engl special edition?
Does anyone has a similar rig???

Don't buy the POD or POD XT to use as an effects device -- that's not what it's best at. There are many far-better sounding effects for the same price. It's meant as a direct recording device and emulates the sounds of classic amps at the end of the signal chain when they get to the recording console -- the effects are icing on the cake.

The thing is i just want the efects for live performance, i don´t need the amp and cabinet simulation.
I think pod is very good to work with cause you get the effect you want quite easy and besides i´d have a good tool for direct recorging.
I have a Rocktron Intellifex and is kind of hard to make the adjustments i need!
Using only the fx don´t you think it would be good?
