plus 4 or -10db

where do you guys run all of your gear at??
It's not a question so much of where we run our gear at, but of where our gear is *designed* to run at; i.e. some gear is designed so that 0VU equates to +4dBu and other gear so that 0VU equates to -10dBV.

If it's pro or prosumer class gear using XLR or balanced TRS 1/4" connections, it's likely designed to the +4dBu standard (though some rare pieces of gear are switchable between the two). If it's consumer grade gear using RCA or 1/8" mini plug connections, it's likely designed to the -10dBV standard.

I run a hybrid of +4 and -10 gear, which I never found to be much of a problem as long as I pay attention my levels when interfacing...but I do have a couple of 8-channel level converter boxes for when I need to keep the gear real happy and playing together.
