Please help can't get it working!

Well I made a couple of purchases do get a small home recording studio going.

Here is what I got:

Microphone:
Audio Technica AT2020

Interface:
PreSonus Audio Box USB

Headphones:
Sennheiser Pro 280

Anyways... I do not have monitors connected to it at the moment but I cant even get the microphone to record right.... it is really starting to annoy me.

I have the 48v amp turned on and everything.

Ive tried different DAW's, Studio One, Adobe Audition, Reaper... no luck at all.

In reaper I cant even record because it says something about track not loaded or something.

I get no sound from mic at all...

Please help.
 
I think I figured out the problem....

Im new to this and the guy at the music store sold me an XLR to TRS Mic line instead of an XLR/XLR mic line.... im gonna go into the store tomarrow and get it changed out.

gas back to the store/hours of frustration/and tensioned nerves.
Call Jim Socoloft when people get hurt he makes them pay!
