Played a blackstar HT5 ministack today. You must try one

Wow, just wow!

This amp blew my freaking socks off today!

I have been an advocate for high wattage tube amps because up until today, every real low wattage tube amp I tried couldn't stand a chance against the high wattage ones. Wattage is always more then volume, there has alway been a feel and response that I could just never get with the low wattage amps.

Until today!

I didn't want to stop playing it.

This thing was the neatest little amp I ever played.

Now, it will not hang with a drummer. Or atleast no drummer I have ever played with.

However, it got decent volume.

There is a point on this amp, say around 12:00, were turning up the volume no longer makes the volume go up. It just gets thicker, and thicker. And it stayed tight.

The best part is, I could easily throw one of the ministack speakers in a sound proof box and not even wake people in the other room.

I played everything from Skynyrd to AC/DC to Metallica on this thing today and it just flat out kicked ass!

Clean sounded very sparkly and chimey as well.

This thing was a home studio's dream.

I have never heard a better low wattage tube amp.

I am getting one for sure by Christmas!
 
yeah, you and I discussed this in another thread.

It was your clips that made me go out and look for one.

It did not disappoint.

Blackstar hit this one out of the park!

oops, sorry. short memory. I'm glad that you we're disappointed.

I haven't tried the Headphone Out.
