I am trying to figure out the best DIY way to make a phase reversal solution since my board doesn't have any phase switches.
Specifically, when I want to check if a mic is in or out of phase with others, I need either a short cable (probably easiest and quickest solution) with the 2 and 3 pin connections reversed on each end, or a box with appropriately sexed xlr jack on each side with a switch in the middle that reverses the connections on pins 2 and 3.
Okay, I'm an idiot, what type of switch would I need?
DPDT? (double pole double throw?)
Any help would be cool.
(Also, any precautions for making sure it doesn't adversely effect the phatom power that may be running through the cable at the time I hit the switch?)
