Percussion/Cobra Bell question

Anyone familiar with Ozzy Osbourne's song "Crazy Train"??? At the begining there is this 'clicky' percussion thing that kinda sounds like a rattlesnake... I was talking to a drummer I know he said he didn't know the proper name for it but he knows them by the name of "Cobra Bell" - does anyone know if this the proper name of it and if so let me know so I can try and track down a sound sample of it off the net... alternatively if someones got a spare few minutes and has one of these "Cobra Bells" could they record a sample of it and email it me...

Cheers

Cooperman....

I went and downloaded that song, and what you hear in the beginning is a:

Guiro

It's a fairly large wooden block with teeths on it, when you run a stick down it's body, it produces that krrrrrrrrrrr sound. It's mainly used for percussion in latin music (for examples, Santana's backup singers always have one in their hands)

Go check out LP music's web site, they have sound samples too:

Nope, It's not a Guiro, what you're looking for is called a "Vibra Slap".
You can get them for under $30.

Here's what it looks like.
