Anyone used it?
Its lookin like a steal for me right now, even if it is 25 years old.

also, any suggestions of what cab to get for it?

thanks!

lot's of them still out there workin like a pack mule after all the yrs. One of the few things that PV most always did well in the earlier yrs was build a good bass head and bass cabinets.

How much? For less than $150, might be a good deal if it works. For cabs, the usual suspects; Avatar, Dr. Bass, Eden. Maybe a Basson, it might make a good match.

on ebay last night i was lookina t em for about 200 or so after shipping.

ya, i figure just checkin out my local music pawn shop or even guitar center and checking out their cabs.

I have a mark VIII

It is wicked heavy, like 70lbs. Or at least it seems that way. Very durable. A lot of options with a full EQ, compression, foot pedal with chorus, sustain, bright, and punch. Lots of juice, but overall it's not the best sounding head for bass. Kind of middy. But they are decent amps, an you can get them to sound pretty good if you know what you're doing.
