PCR CARD Time Sync and Alesis ADAT

Hey guys,

Been using the Adat for a while. I also have a PC that I dump the adat to via ADAT EDIT PCR Card. That works well and the sound is high quality. I was wondering if there is something I am missing though in the Sync dept.

What I do now is Create a stereo Drum. WAV in Acid PRO 3.0. In order to use this I have to Upload it to my ADAT via the PCR Optical outs (To two tracks of the ADAT) Then I record the Geetars, Bass and vocals. Then it all gets dumped back to the PC for mixing / effects and burnt to CD via the Optical ins. No sound loss still sounds very crisp.

When I try to sync the ADAT with the PC so that I can just monitor the Drum track (ACID) without Uploading it to the ADAT, the "Sync" is more of a "sink". When I press play or record on the ADAT, it starts the Acid software wav but then skips around and does not lock. I know now by reading back that this probably makes absolutely no sense, but maybe someone out there can throw me a bone here.

As always, thanks so much in advance,

Cheers
