I wanted to get some hot recording opinions from the board on setting up the following equipment (already in my posession except for the mic):
Kort Triton (6 independent outs)
Microphone
Mackie 1604 mixer
Echo Layla
PC
mixdown to Fostex D-5 DAT
I could go Triton (6-outs) and mic out to Mixer. Mixer main outs to Layla. Layla SPDIF in/out to DAT (with Fostex digital I/O converter box). Layla L/R to powered monitor speakers.
I could go Triton to Layla. All Layla outs back to Mixer, SPDIF in/out to DAT. Mixer mains to powered monitors. (Seems to to leave out mic)
OR..some other ways I'm sure..... Anyone out there already successfully running a similar setup? (Oh yeah, the software is Cubase VST 3.7 in case ya needed to know).
