Passive Monitors' Amp?

Passives...

If your HR, 6hrs a week recording?
probably a decent rack mount type 100watt to 300watt would do.

quality is in the design and materials so take your pick on brands.
i've heard some do fine, at a minimal budget with large consumer amps that have bypass, shooting the audio to the amps only bypass the tone controls and electronics etc...

If you read around hear Bryston is popular and Hafler common.
Some Hi End audio stores take trade ins and may have a amp in the back room too.

I bought a Tascam PA150 (150watt) ~$100-150... built like a tank.
Adcom, NAD, are some high end amps and can be found cheap used.

Massive Mastering has passives search that for higher end.

I just pulled the trigger on a Hafler TA1600, lots of recommendations for this one. American Musical has them for 149 with free shipping. I'll let you know what I think when I get mine.
